The short version

We collect only what we need to run Qubicle Studio. We don't sell your data, we don't serve ads, and we don't track you across the internet. Your profile content belongs to you — we just host it.

02

What we collect

When you create an account and build your profile, we store the following:

Account details

  • Email address
  • Username
  • Display name (optional)
  • Password (securely hashed — we never see it in plain text)

Profile content

  • Bio and description
  • Avatar and banner images
  • Widget content (text, photos, links)
  • Social media links

Automatically collected

When you visit our site, we automatically collect some technical data to keep things running smoothly:

  • IP address (for security and abuse prevention)
  • Browser type and device info
  • Pages visited and features used
03

How we use it

Your data is used to make Qubicle Studio work. Specifically:

  • Running the service — Hosting your profile, saving your widgets, and keeping your account working.
  • Authentication — Verifying your identity when you sign in and keeping your sessions secure.
  • Displaying your profile — Showing your public profile page to anyone who visits your Qubicle URL.
  • Service notifications — Sending you important emails about your account (never marketing spam).
  • Improvements — Understanding how the product is used so we can fix bugs and build better features.
  • Security — Detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
04

How we protect it

We take security seriously. Here's how your data is protected:

Database

PostgreSQL with encryption at rest

Passwords

Securely hashed — never stored in plain text

Files

Encrypted cloud storage for all uploaded images

In transit

HTTPS/TLS encryption on every connection

05

Public vs. private

Public

Your profile — username, display name, bio, widgets, avatar, and banner — is visible to anyone who visits your Qubicle URL. That's the whole point.

Private

Your email address, password, and account settings are never publicly displayed and are only accessible to you.

06

Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and keeping you signed in. We also use your browser's local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and to cache your profile data for a faster editing experience. We don't use tracking cookies, and we don't serve ads.

07

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how people use the site and to monitor performance. These tools collect anonymous, aggregated data — things like page views, browser type, device, approximate location (country level), and load times.

Vercel Analytics is cookie-free and does not track you across websites. We use this data solely to improve the product — never to identify individual users or build advertising profiles.

08

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted services to run Qubicle Studio:

Vercel

Hosting & analytics

Neon

Database (PostgreSQL)

Cloudflare R2

Image storage

Resend

Transactional emails

Google

OAuth sign-in

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for their service to function.

09

Your rights

Your data is yours. You can:

  • Access and view all personal data we store about you
  • Update or correct your information at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
10

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll remove all your personal data within 30 days — unless we're legally required to keep it longer.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the app.
